Downtown taps SymphonyOS AI-marketing tech for its artists

AI music-marketing startup SymphonyOS has been building some strong momentum in recent months, raising $1m of pre-seed funding and striking deals with distributors CD Baby and UnitedMasters. Now it has another partnership in the bag, with Downtown Artist & Label Services.

Downtown has been testing SymphonyOS’s suite of tools with artists including Hunter Hayes, mehro and Ryan Nealon, but now it’s turning that into a formal partnership to offer them to its whole roster at a discount. Downtown said that the tests went well: Nealon nearly doubled his following around a song release, while a campaign for mehro’s song ‘ketamine’ reached 784,000 people.

While music-making tools get most of the headlines around AI and music, SymphonyOS is part of the sector exploring what AI can do for marketing, from fanbase tracking and targeting to pre-saves and website creation.
